Xpress Yourself!

There is a new Stage IV business that I am opening that is called Xpress Yourself! So far there are 2 members: Ellis (me) and Brooklyn. Help is appreciated if you would like to join! Xpress Yourself is a store that sells beaded pens and paint-pen painted 3D prints. The 3D prints can be anything from turtles with roses for shells to green and gold forest dragons. We are hoping to first kick off the business with 100 3D prints and 100 beaded pens and see how they sell. We are hoping to sell our products at local craft fairs. If you want to join talk to me so I can find a position for you! I based it off a business just like Xpress Yourself at my local carnival (Berkley Days). They sold the same things and I am basing my prices off theirs. Again, if you want to join the Xpress Yourself committee than please see Ellis, They/Them, Stage IV second year. Here’s the logo:

Club updates!

We know that there are clubs but we don’t know what’s going on in them! Here’s some insider updates sourced from people founding (and co- owning) the clubs listed: 🌈Alliance and Good Wishes (recess musical). First I’m interviewing Carmen, school librarian and 🌈Alliance founder. 🌈Alliance was founded because last year there was an elective in Stage IV for LGBTQIAAP+ humans and supporters to socialize and feel safe. Mostly this year 🌈Alliance has been putting special stickers on books that include some LGBTQIAAP+ content. They have this general pattern.(🌞💧) or something somewhat close to that. Alliance has also been doing supportive chalk art and having discussions about the LGBTQIAAP+ community. There are only 3 people in it. There used to be like 20! If you want to join don’t be shy! Now on to the recess musical! Good wishes is practicing in Ellen’s room A and D days. They will be performing act 1 in Ellen’s room on May 3. They will be performing act 2 on the 13. Good wishes is about 2 princesses, Ashley and Rose, who don’t like their princess life and run away. They have a very talented cast.

Pride Paks Inc.™!

Pride Paks Inc.™ is a non-profit fundraiser that donates to the Ruth Ellis Center. The Ruth Ellis Center provides home, clothes, food, medicine and more to people who are kicked out of their homes just because they’re being LGBTQIAAP+ and their parents are not okay with it. (Yes, this actually happens!)

If you want to donate to Pride Paks Inc.™ bring some money (your desired amount of money) to Carmen at the Roeper Children’s Library, tell her it’s for Pride Paks Inc.™, and she will take it and direct you to me. When you come to me, (Stage IV Ellis) I will make you a Pride Pak. The Pride Paks include pencils and pins. It’s a flag (Pride or world flag) on a pin or a rainbow pencil.

How to get Custom Cursor!💻

Everyone in the Roeper Report ( well, most of them) have been asking me “How do you get such a cool clicker?” I am able to teach everyone how! First, make sure you have your computer. ( school or home!) Next, pull up a new tab from Google Chrome, type custom cursor into the search bar, and the results should be Chrome extensions and the actual Custom cursor site. Get the Chrome extensions tab. Once you install it, it will say ” pin the extension” get through that stuff or it will come back to bite you later. Finally, get ANOTHER new tab and search custom cursor again. this time click the actual Custom Cursor link. There! Done! You have your own custom cursor!

Students get stung by wasps🐝!

On the head of school’s birthday stage III and II students Teddy, Elliot, Shon, Nora, Ivan, Xander, Phoenix B. and Thalia and some others got stung by wasps while singing “Happy birthday” on the balcony outside Christopher’s office.

No one had an allergic reaction or was seriously hurt, thankfully. The day they got stung it was Monty’s 🐍”birthday”. But it was very traumatic for students and teachers.

We do not know what happened but Ellis saw a wasp nest in the ground nearby so they think maybe a stage III or II kiddo ACIDENTALLY stepped on that nest.

How to make Halloween costumes!(these are super easy to make) 😁👍

Halloween is coming up and people are getting costumes! Want to make one? Here’s some ideas…

CACTUS: hot glue white pipe cleaners to a green sweater, wear brown pants, and maybe a flower hair acessory?

GUM BALL MACHINE: hot glue pom-poms to a white shirt and wear a red skirt or red shorts.

ROBOT: cardboard boxes w/ foil

BLACK CAT: black clothes, cat ears, and collar/tail.

If you take these suggestions you will have a great costume!

Quartz and Mica identification!

Quartz is a clear and jagged-edged rock.

Mica Is a silver-ish and sparkly (and very fragile!) thin rock.

This is granite. If it looks like this, it’s granite. Another way to find granite is to make sure it has light colors and dark colors. You should be able to see small bits of Quartz from the outside.
