PI day recently happened on March 14, and was celebrated in stage IV by having lots of pie and playing games in math class. kids in stage IV brought pie into school. there are 51 billion digits of pi known, but no one has memorized that much. yet. Pi is usually sown using the Greek letter π. pi is important because without it you couldn’t have calculate a circle. pi is 3.14159265368979323846264338327950288419716939937510
After two years, twenty one pilots has finally released new music. They released a video called I Am Clancy on February 22 that explained most of twenty one pilots lore, and also added a sneak peak of the new song, Overcompensate. Then A week later, they released the full song, Which within 4 hours, had a million views, and is currently gaining 1.1 million views a day. The entire album will be released on May 17, and is expected to have at least 3 more music videos.
The book fair is coming! The book fair is coming to Roeper through December 11th and December 15th. According to Carmen, (The person who I’m interviewing,) it also might have a sneak appearance on December 8th. The book fair takes place in the main lobby in the Stewart Building on the lower floor, or pre-order online at www.literati.efairs.com. Carmen is running the book fair along with volunteers. The reason Carmen is doing the book fair is because she wants to “raise money for author visits & books for kids at home” she expects to raise around 8,000$ at least. every class will have time to visit and it will also be open after school.

The song “Now And Then” was released on Friday, November 3rd. (Insert sentence about who the song is by.) The writer of the song, John Lennon, died 40 years ago. The song was created around 45 years ago. the new song is one of the best Beatles songs there are.
Ringo Starr (the drummer of the Beatles) was talking to Yoko Ono (John Lennon’s wife) and Yoko said that she had some recordings of John. In 1995, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison created “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love.” they were going to do “now and then” but the piano blocked out most of John Lennon’s voice and they didn’t have the technology to quiet the piano. but then in 2022, they had the tech to get rid of the piano.

YouTube Influencer, Mr. Beast (real name Jimmy Donaldson) helped 1,000 blind people all over the world by paying for cataract surgery to fix their vision. It took about three weeks to do all the surgeries. He made a video about it and posted it online. He helped people in Florida, Jamaica, Honduras, Namibia, Mexico, Indonesia, Brazil, Vietnam and Kenya. The surgeon for the surgeries in Florida is named Jeff Levonson. “Half of all the blindness in the world is people who need ten minuet surgery,” said Jeff Levonson.
Apparently Mr beast got criticism for curing peoples blindness. Some people say that he only did it for the views. Most people think that it’s a good thing, because if you show people it, they will get inspired.

There is a hurricane in Puerto Rico. It’s called Hurricane Fiona. 800 people were brought to safety. 4 people died. 2 million people had no clean water. That was all in one week. Winds were up 115 to 137 mph and in south Puerto Rico they had 20 inches of rain. In their capitol, San Juan, cars and fences were dragged down the streets by water. As of Tuesday, 300,000 people have gotten their power back and 19 percent of households and businesses in Puerto Rico got there power back. Only 115,000 out of 1.4 million people have power.

On August 24th, a Ukrainian soccer game was stopped due to four air raid sirens at the Skif stadium in Lviv. To keep everyone safe, each time the air raid went off, both teams had to take shelter. The final game time was four and a half hours, which made it the longest soccer game in the history of Ukraine. It was between Rukh Lviv and Metalist Kharkiv. Metalist eventually won 2 to 1. Air raid sirens means there is a chance of an attack from Russia because they’re at war.
