The Roeper high school baseball team had a game on May 6th. They played at the minor league field the Jimmy Johns Stadium against Lutheran Westland. Their coach Todd has a connection with the Jimmy Johns’ field, so he gets the team a game there every year. There was a bus ride to the game for stage IV kids who signed up to go. Here are the Players, Griffin, Conor, Alexi, Oscar, Lennon, James, Hollis, Lucas, Trevor, and Daniel also their coaches Todd and Brian. The Roeper Roughriders won the game as you know, the score was 6-2.

I you read my pickle ball article recently then congratulations you know what pickleball is, now I am going to share some benefits of pickleball with you so that you actually want to play pickleball instead of thinking “wow, I just wasted 3 minutes of my life mindlessly reading this random kid’s article…”.
What is pickleball good for?
Pickleball improves alot of good ability’s that the human body possess, such as Hand eye coordination, the cardiovascular system, it’s a good workout, and research has even found that pickleball decreases depression!
How to play pickleball
There are two sides of the court, just like tennis but the court is smaller. Anyways it is a four-player game with two sides on each half of the court, and you and your partner must stay inside of one of the halves inside of the court. there is a place on the court called the kitchen it is a small rectangle Infront of the half you are on, you cannot hit the ball inside the kitchen unless the ball has already bounced. If you hit the ball out on your first serve (if you’re team is the first team to serve in the game) it is not your partners serve it is the other teams serve. but if you hit it out (if you’re the first person to serve on your team) it is your partners turn (if your team is not the first to serve in the game). if your team is not the first to serve in the game and it is your partners turn to serve (because you just served) and your partner hits it out it is not your turn to serve again it is the other teams serve.
To serve you MUST hit the ball on the other side of the court in the opponent’s square diagonal of yours (the first time you serve it in the game, then you can hit the ball). to end the game one of the has to reach 11 points. This Detroit soccer team went to the playoffs last season, but Detroit fans are wondering what is going to happen this 2024-2025 season. They had a fantastic season with great players like, Devon Amoo-Mensah, #30, Maxi Rodriguez, #21, and Nate Steinwascher, #1.
The futbol team plays at Keyworth Stadium, which holds 7,933 people. It was opened 2012 in Hamtramck. David Dwaihy ( one of the founder) says, It’s an old stadium. Even though it was opened in 2012.
Devon Amoo-Mensah feels like the biggest accomplishment was winning the first playoff game in DCFC HISTORY against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. He also feels like the defense needs to step up this season. He also said,”I feel like the team is coming together and I am also feeling really good about the new coach and players.”
He also says that playing their rivals (Indy Eleven) is a challenge. He says playing Louisville is tough to play. And the Pittsburgh crowd is tough too. Thanks for reading!!!

What is pickleball?
Pickleball is a fast-paced sport that is similar to tennis badminton and ping pong, it was invented in 1965 after playing golf one day during the summer Joel Prichard and Bill Bell returned to Prichard’s home to find their families sitting around having nothing to do, the house had an old badminton court so Prichard and Bell searched for some badminton and could not find enough rackets, so they improvised and played with ping pond paddles and a plastic ball. At first, they placed the net at 60-inches and served the ball over the net. later players noticed that the ball bounced well on asphalt and later the net was lowered to 36-inches. The next weekend Barney McCallum was introduced to the game in Prichard’s home. Soon, the three men made rules, relying on badminton.

But he is not as good as he was any more. He has not won a championship in a long time. He is the most famous person in the WORLD! But if he is lucky Mbappe will play against him. Ronaldo is 38 years old and earns $218 million a year.

Tim Wakefield was a retired pitcher for the Boston Red Sox. He was famous for doing a pitch called the knuckleball. Tim sadly died at 57. He had Brain Cancer. They announced his death at the stadium on October 1st. When he died he left his wife, and his two children. He had one 13-year-old boy named Trever and a 12-year-old girl Brianna. His wife Stacy was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. He helped the Red Sox win the World Series in 2004.
